According to the South Korean company, the sterilization process of the devices depends on UV rays, and does not depend on any chemicals, as the sterilization of the phone takes 30 seconds and kills 99.9% of the germs on the device.

Samsung said that the free sterilization process can be done on Galaxy phones as well as smart watches and headphones manufactured by the South Korean company.

It also confirmed that it has carefully tested sterilizers, in order to ensure that UV rays do not affect the performance of smartphones.

The South Korean company indicated that the countries where the telephone sterilization service is currently located are: Argentina, Chile, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the United States, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

She added that it is scheduled to expand the provision of this service to include other countries during the coming period.
